Anthem-Freedom

  • Anthem-Freedom (Mountain City, Hays County, TX) is a 423-acre master-planned development project located within the Anthem Municipal Utility District. The project is 25 miles SW of Austin, TX and 4 miles NW of Kyle, TX.
  • The project consists of two sections – Anthem and Freedom. Clark Wilson (“Kyle 150LP”) is the Developer. In 2021, he sold the 221-acre Freedom section to Landsea Homes, who will develop and build all homes within the section. Clark Wilson retained reimbursement rights from the District.
  • As a whole, Anthem-Freedom is set to include 1,469 single-family lots, Jim Cullen Elementary School (opened in Fall 2024), four parks (including a 4.4-acre central park with an amenity center which opened in April 2023), and ~74 acres of open space.
    • Anthem– 202 acres to include 590 single-family lots
    • Freedom– 221 acres to include 879 single-family lots
  • At the time of issuance:
    • 100% of the residential units were closed to homebuilders
    • 82% of public improvements were complete
    • $53.6M in outstanding eligible infrastructure expenses
